ALEXANDRIA, VA — The American Beverage Association (ABA) and International Bottled Water Association (IBWA), co-sponsors of InterBev 2008, today announced the addition of a “Green Aisle” at this year’s tradeshow. The “Green Aisle” will provide exhibitors with the opportunity to share their environmentally-friendly innovations, services, and technologies with InterBev’s more than 4,000 expected attendees.
“The beverage industry has a strong record of environmental leadership. InterBev will now be a place where we can demonstrate that leadership,” said Susan Neely, president and CEO of the American Beverage Association. “Our premier trade show will be a place where the industry’s leaders and innovators come together with an eye toward the future.”
IBWA President and CEO Joe Doss said, “The bottled water and beverage industries are on the front lines of environmental protection and sustainability and work to incorporate ‘green’ technologies and practices into our businesses every day. The InterBev ‘Green Aisle’ will showcase these resources to business owners and managers who are in a position to make a real difference in the bottled water and beverage industry’s commitment to green environmental practices.”
The new “Green Aisle” space is available to InterBev exhibitors showcasing product and service solutions that allow businesses to contribute to environmental sustainability and increased profitability. Exhibitors who are not located in the Green Aisle can also apply for “Green Designation,” which will be marked prominently on the show floor.
Building on the size and scope of the 2006 event, ABA joined with IBWA’s Annual Convention and TradeShow to create North America’s largest event dedicated to the beverage industry. In addition, ABA’s Annual Membership meeting and Board of Directors meeting, IBWA’s Board of Directors meeting and other industry meetings also will be held in conjunction with InterBev 2008.
InterBev 2008 will feature live demonstrations, interactive displays, enlightening educational sessions and countless opportunities to speak with beverage industry experts. The event will take place October 20-22 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Registration opens in April and can be accessed online at www.interbev.com.
