Alexandria, VA – The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) has announced that Columbus, OH bottled water professional Richard Coferis the winner of its prestigious Route Salesperson of the Year title for 2024.
Mr. Cofer, a route salesperson for Magnetic Springs Water Company, was awarded the honor during IBWA’s awards ceremony, which was held as part of the association’s 2024 Annual Business Conference, held in Chicago, November 4-7.
“Since joining Magnetic Springs in 2019, Rich has proven himself to be an exemplary route salesperson, building exceptional customer loyalty with his personal touch. His commitment is unmatched—he treats each customer like a friend, even bringing dog biscuits for their pets, creating memorable experiences that go beyond routine service,” said IBWA Convention Committee Co-Chair Joe Bell.
“Earlier this year, Rich’s outstanding customer focus was highlighted when he won a company-wide contest for generating the most positive Google reviews—achieving nearly 100 five-star ratings!”
“Rich’s dedication was especially evident when he once became ill while on vacation but minimized his time away from work. He maintained close communication with customers and coordinated his route with the support of a colleague, ensuring no disruption in service.
Mr. Cofer is also a trusted peer and mentor, helping new drivers understand what excellence looks like in route sales. His remarkable commitment to service, both to his customers and his colleagues, sets a high standard for excellence at Magnetic Springs.
IBWA has been recognizing the efforts of bottled water industry professionals since 1963. As ambassadors of the bottled water industry, route salespeople are on the front lines of customer service, and—through them—the bottled water industry has direct contact and connection with customers.
