IBWA Announces New Vice President for Government Relations
Alexandria, VA – The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) is proud to announce that Dan Felton, formerly the Director of Government Relations at IBWA, has been promoted to Vice President of Government Relations. Mr. Felton joined the association in 2007 as the Director of Government Relations. His responsibilities include IBWA’s government affairs work at the state and federal levels, working with legislators, IBWA members and allies to shape sound legislation, regulations and public policy for the bottled water industry.
Before joining IBWA, Dan Felton served as the Coalition manager for the National Card Coalition (NCC), where for six years he served as the Coalition’s legislative manager and analyst in support of the credit card industry’s legislative, regulatory and public policy activities in all 50 states.
Prior to working for the NCC, Dan was employed with Dun & Bradstreet in their Washington, DC, federal government affairs office. In addition to his government affairs work, Dan has been involved with the Commission on Presidential Debates since 2000 in support of their presidential and vice presidential debate cycles, dealing with ticketing, seating and security issues.

The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) is the authoritative source of information about all types of bottled waters, including spring, mineral, purified, artesian, and sparkling. In addition to FDA regulations, IBWA member bottlers must adhere to the IBWA Bottled Water Code of Practice, which mandates additional standards and practices that in some cases are more stringent than federal and state regulations. A key feature of the IBWA Bottled Water Code of Practice is a mandatory annual plant inspection by an independent, third-party organization.
